Declared 2016 Independent Presidential Candidate

Independent and Small Businessman

David Q. Hendrix
Born: April 19th, 1976  (age 38)

David Hendrix was born and raised in Gaston County, North Carolina. He graduated from East Gaston High School in 1994 and went on Gaston Community College for a two-year college education. He was a volunteer firefighter from 1996 to 2007 and, in 2005, started his own business which supplies fire and rescue equipment to fire departments throughout North and South Carolina. David has been married for sixteen years to his wife, Heather, and they have three children.

As soon as he was of age, Hendrix became a registered Republican, saying that he “really never thought too much about politics until I started my own business.” He says that the economy has gotten worse in recent years, which has negatively affected his business. He blames both parties for the mess in Washington D.C. and feels that an Independent would be able to look at situations from a more neutral, balanced point of view.

Hendrix is a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment and person's right to own guns for hunting, sport, or personal protection but believes each state should come up with its own laws concerning the carrying of firearms. He also believes that the United States’ foreign policy has gotten out of control and needs to be “reevaluated.” He wants to bring troops home and cut foreign aid, saying that it's time for the United States to concentrate on the United States.

David Hendrix’s campaign strategy consists of social media and acquiring a volunteer base in each state. He truly believes that an Independent candidate could be elected to the White House, but also understands that it will be an uphill battle. Hendrix is working to be on the ballot in every state in the 2016 election, not an easy task.
