Fiorina wants to repeal Obamacare, let states manage high risk pools and have free market healthcare.
“We have to repeal Obamacare. Obamacare is…talk about a complicated monstrosity. It’s literally tens of thousands of pages long, nobody read it, nobody understands it, but it’s creating huge burdens and costs for businesses and meanwhile insurance companies, drug companies, are all getting bigger and bigger. It’s called Croney capitalism. They helped write this bill and now they’re consolidating to deal with this bill. So we have to repeal it. We can’t tinker around the edges. I believe we should allow states to manage high risk pools so that people who truly need help can get help. I’m a cancer survivor. I understand it’s really important that a pre-existing condition not bankrupt a family. So we need to give people help but the states ought to be responsible for doing that and finally we ought to do the one thing in health insurance that we’ve never done. We have never had a free market. What we’ve always had is a cozy little game between regulators and health insurance companies. We used to do it in fifty states. What we’ve done with Obamacare is nationalized that to one big huge regulated oligopoly. That’s a fancy word for rules that regulators and the health insurance companies decide. Let’s have real competition, the free market where health insurance companies actually have to compete for every businesses and families business.”
